It is not too soon to register. There will be pre-wedding celebrations in your honor, it makes perfect sense to register now. However, if you have an engagement party, do not include registry information in the announcement as guests are not expected to bring a gift. Word of mouth is really the best way to let guests know you are registered or if you have a website its okay to include registry info. Hope that helps!
