Here are a couple of things you should look for to find the perfect wedding caterer for your big day!
- Know what menu you would like. This might coincide with the weather outside. Sometimes cold food and a freezing winter day just don't work well together.
- Make sure you have a written estimate from your caterer which includes all food costs, rentals, labor, gratuities and taxes.
- Have a good estimation of your guests, you can use the rule-of-thumb that 70 to 75% will attend to establish initial guest count. Your caterer will probably ask for a final count 2 weeks or more prior to the big day.
- Make sure you have in the agreement language about what the caterer supplies including china, flatware, glasses, cups, saucers and table linens. Every catering company is different.
