The color purple has been extremely hot in recent weddings. Purple has been displayed in many shades like plum, lavender, eggplant, grape, and violet. If you are going to have a spring or summer wedding stick to the lighter purple tones and add a splash of bright. If you are planning a fall or winter wedding plan to use the deeper purples with a splash of the lighter purples. Just don't turn your alter into a purple palace!
Do not know where to start with the wedding toast? The wedding toast will be a memory for the guests and happy couple to share, therefore the pressure is on! Here are a couple of tips to make the best wedding toast possible...
1. Reflect on the past, the present, and the future
2. Make sure it is not too long and you are not reading verbatim
3. Positive, upbeat, and communicated with passion
Metallics have been so popular in weddings lately. Metallics can range from gold, copper, platinum, and silver. These metallics add a great combination to each other as well as other colors to offer flexibility and versatility to your wedding theme. Metallics can feel subtle, industrial, chic, or regal depending on the design and shades used. How will you incorporate the metallic trend into your wedding?
Proper etiquette is very important and sending a thank-you card after you receive your wedding gift is better sooner than later. A thank-you card is essential to let your guest know that the gift was received. Make sure you keep these thank-you cards short and sweet. Also, handwritten thank-you cards are much more thoughtful and personable for your guests.
Some couples are blending a DJ and a band at their wedding reception to get the best of both worlds. Usually the band plays early in the night and once everyone gets a couple of drinks in them the DJ will bust out with the best dance mixes to keep the party going. It is also fun to mix the DJ and band at the same time to get a versatile sound.

Nothing is more beautiful to me than...my family happy, safe and cuddled up together watching movies. My son calls it the cozies
Where do you want to travel next? Sicily to visit family and then a quick little jaunt over to Greece. I have wanted to visit Greece ever since I was a kid and I watched the Love Boat episode were they cruise the Greek islands.
I started this business/am in this industry because...I love being part of the wedding day. I am such a sappy romantic!
My first job was...I was a Soda Jerk at a 50s style diner. I went home after every shift sticky and smelling of ice cream.

The wedding is around the corner and there are a couple of last to-dos to mark off the checklist. The final fitting for the wedding party is usually one of the last to-dos! When you gather all the troops to go to the wedding party fitting make sure you remember a couple of things.
- You must instruct each member of the wedding party to pick up his own tuxedo or her own dress
- Make sure they try on the entire outfit at the store and are completely satisfied
- If there is a problem and things just don't fit right, make sure to make the proper adjustment there and then.

We are seeing more and more brides opting for a reception dress. This reception dress is usually short, fun, and easy to dance in. So lose that heavy train, veil, and tradition. Let loose and dance the night away in your special reception dress. The best thing about it is that you will be able to wear your reception dress again, unlike most traditional wedding dresses.
Thank you notes take up a good chunk of your time and can be very draining, but here are a couple of examples that will help you get through it!

To a more distant friend, relative or business colleague:
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Show,
Thank you so much for the lovely vase. It will go beautifully on our kitchen table, and (wife or husband) and I will think of you each time we use it. Thanks again for sharing our joy.
To someone who couldn't make it to the wedding but still sent a gift:
Dear Sandra & Chad,
Thank you both very much for completing our sterling place setting collection. (wife or husband) and I look forward to using it at every special dinner we host. We truly missed you both on our special day and look forward to seeing you soon.
To someone who wasn't invited to the wedding but sent a gift:
Dear Candace & Tommy,

While tradition is still a big deal, many coupes are choosing to see each other before the altar. Meeting each other prior to the ceremony allows the couple to savor the moment just between the two of them. The photographer can also capture this moment accurately while the couple embrace each other and the future. It is also a great way to capture family portraits before the wedding in order for the couple to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests.
