Early rising word challenged sweethearts will gather at Crepeville (1730 L Street, Sacramento, CA) for a 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. workshop, while those preferring afternoon events and Valentine's Day shopping will convene at a second workshop offered at the Downtown Plaza (5476 L Street, Sacramento, CA) from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Led by relationship educator Susi Pinto, particpants will learn and experience proven secrets of sweet written conversation nearly lost to time and technology. Join a group of other fledgling loving wordsmiths for fun and learning at one of these two events. Bring a friend!

Estilo is a great wedding resource site, but they've been on baby sabatical for the past couple months. Now that they are back they are having an end of the year sale! I DO LOVE a good sale! Check out some of their great sale items, but remember to go back in January to see all their new merchandise too!
How do you incorporate the military into your wedding? Mike and Libby were open to suggestions and had some great ideas of their own. Mike is in the army and Libby is one supportive wife! Their wedding featured army green and blue as their colors. The challenge was to incorporate those colors into their wedding cake. I'm a big fan of using natural elements with the cake, so we added fresh kiwi and blueberries... it was a subtle nod to their colors and tasted amazing to boot!
Brides magazine just launched Brides Dressing Room, an iPod Touch and iPhone application with hundreds of beautiful dresses to view and the ability to find the dress boutique near you. Shopping just got a little easier!!
#1 - Budget is a top worry for brides. * You may not have any idea what a wedding costs, so you may need to do some research first before you set your budget.Decide first on the one word that you would want to describe your wedding: elegant, fairytale, relaxed, intimate, fun, bling, cheap, traditional, etc. Whatever word best describes your vision for the wedding will set the tone for your budget. Make sure that you set a realistic budget from the term you've selected. If you want a fairytale wedding with 400 people and have set yourself a $6000 budget, realize that this may take some trimming from certain planning categories.Once you do set a budget, set priorities in order of importance decided by you and your fiance. Track your spending according to your priorities.
* Once you've decided on what size & style wedding you and your fiance want, make sure to plan ahead. Brides are planning further out, up to 18 months in advance, so plan ahead to guarantee you get the vendors you prefer.
* Drawing up and trimming down the guest list is one of the top worries of brides (per Peggy Post).Have discussions in advance about guest size and sticking to your plan.
*Find Vendors you can trust: Ask for referrals from other vendors, friends, colleagues. Remember that cost and value are not the same thing. What are your priorities when it comes to the vendors you're selecting?Professionalism, experience, chemistry, entertainment, day of attention.
*Vendors can send a sub-contractor: Make sure the vendor you meet with initially will be there wedding day, not a sub-contractor.
*Have a list of your vendors with contact (cell phone/alt #) info. on the day of. If you do not have a wedding coordinator for the day of, make sure to give copies of this information to keep participants: best man, maid of honor, all vendors involved. You do not want yourself or your fiance to have to be worried about tracking down their information on the day of.
Regardless of the season you choose, weather can change at anytime. Check your Farmer's Almanac to know what the weather predictions are during your wedding. The Farmer's Almanac can also tell you when sunset is, so you can plan your ceremony and photos accordingly.

If you are looking for a unique wedding photo op or just love vintage style the way I do, check out this site dedicated to vintage sunglasses. Although these retro babies can be a bit pricey, they would make great bridesmaid gifts and allow for some fabulous pics for your album. These pink Paloma Picasso beauties are a personal favorite.
